6 & 10 Lane Express Highways
A six lane dual carriageway highway shall be built with provisions to extend it up to 10 lanes in Gujarat Dholera Smart city Project Description. Proposed 6 lane highway 0.5 KMS away Proposed DMIC 1 KMS away from the site Metro Rail 1 KMS away International Airport just 10 KMS away from the site.
Central Spine for Dholera SIR – Ahmedabad-Vataman-Pipli-Dholera-Bhavnagar six lane Road
The proposed road would serve as central spine for Ahmedabad-Dholera SIR. It is decided that initially the road will be four lane with six lane structure. It could be access controlled.
- Existing Chainage: Project road Starts near sarkhej on sardar patel ring road and ends at Dholera Special Investment Region and Merging with SH-6 at Termination Point.
- The Expressway project is undertaken by NHAI under Bharatmala Project and work of same is likely to be over by 2022.
- Currently, two lane state highway being expanded to 4 lanes.
- The length of expressway is 107.400 km
- A dedicated 6 lane access controlled expressway connecting Ahmedabad & Dholera is proposed and design work has been completed for the same
- Improvement of road to Six Lane Greenfield Alignment Development.
- Existing and Proposed Bridges: Existing-2 Bridges, 6 Canal Bridges, Proposed-6 Major and 20 minor bridges.
- Trees on Road: 1604 nos.
